Pilgrims of Hope: Closing Mass & Anniversary Gathering

This year the Catholic Church is celebrating a Holy Year under the motto Pilgrims of Hope. It is also being celebrated here in Berlin. The closing Mass will take place on 28 December at 10 a.m. in St. Hedwig’s Cathedral.

The Archbishop of Berlin, Heiner Koch, has personally invited us, the Berlin Pilgrims, to this closing celebration. In addition, we are invited to the Collectio at around 9:30 a.m. – a short get-together with the Archbishop, including a small refreshment, which ends with us entering the cathedral together for the mass.

This is a wonderful recognition of our young pilgrim group – especially since that very day marks our one-year anniversary (our first pilgrimage to Potsdam took place on 28 December 2024). So there are two good reasons to join!

You are warmly invited to take part in the Collectio and the Mass, regardless of your religious background.
