Corporate Pilgrims

Pilgrimage as a company retreat – time for connection, calm and new perspectives

What is Corporate Pilgrims?

Corporate Pilgrims is a guided pilgrimage and walking programme for teams, departments and organisations. In an unfamiliar setting – outdoors, in nature, away from everyday work routines – space opens up for relief, exchange and shared experience. Without performance pressure. Without team-building games. Without expectations.

Corporate Pilgrims brings together walking, silence, conversation and reflection to create a distinctive company retreat with lasting impact.

Who is Corporate Pilgrims for?

This offering is particularly suited to:

  • organisations in care, social services and healthcare
  • church-based, diaconal and charitable institutions
  • values-driven organisations and foundations
  • teams experiencing high workloads, staff shortages or periods of change

Corporate Pilgrims works equally well for established teams, leadership groups or cross-departmental constellations.

Value for organisations

  • A distinctive alternative to the traditional company outing
  • Strengthens team cohesion, working culture and staff retention
  • Supports physical and mental wellbeing
  • Low organisational complexity with a clear, reliable structure
  • External facilitation without internal role conflicts
  • High acceptance across different ages and backgrounds

Value for participants

  • Time outside roles, hierarchies and performance expectations
  • Movement, fresh air, nature and conscious pauses
  • Personal conversations beyond the work context
  • Experiences of calm, clarity and release
  • Spiritual impulses offered in an open, inclusive way

Many participants experience Corporate Pilgrims as a restorative counterbalance to work intensification, shift systems and digitally dominated working environments.

A typical one-day Corporate Pilgrims journey

  • Arrival, welcome and framing of the day
  • Walking together at a moderate pace
  • Time for conversation, pauses and experiencing nature
  • Lunch break (optionally organised)
  • A thematic impulse and a phase of walking in silence
  • Shared reflection and group exchange
  • Closing moment and blessing

The day is deliberately kept simple: no games, no exercises, no pressure to participate. Depth emerges through time, walking and encounter.

Approach & Methodology

Experience from pilgrimage practice shows that lasting impact does not arise from constant facilitation, but from intentionally created space. Walking eases conversation, silence deepens awareness, and nature works without instruction.

Corporate Pilgrims follows a clear, reduced framework. The guidance provides structure and orientation without forcing processes or prescribing outcomes.

Accompaniment

Steinfeldt Pilgrims is a pilgrimage project led by me and based in Berlin. I accompany groups on pilgrimage routes in Germany and across Europe, both in voluntary and professional contexts.

My work brings together experience in pilgrimage accompaniment, spiritual practice, and many years of project management. I take responsibility for a safe and reliable framework and for calm, attentive guidance throughout the day.

Formats & extensions

  • One-day pilgrimage walk (standard format)
  • Regional pilgrimage weekend
  • Multi-day pilgrimages in Germany or across Europe (on request)
  • Optional additions: catering, transfers, extensions

Initial conversation & proposal

I would be glad to explore with you whether and how Corporate Pilgrims might suit your organisation. In an informal initial conversation, we clarify aims, framework and possible dates.

Each offering is tailored to the specific team. The cost for a one-day pilgrimage walk typically falls within the lower four-figure range, depending on scope and optional additional services (e.g. catering). On this basis, I am happy to prepare a concrete proposal.
